The Los Angeles Lakers picked up a decisive 112-107 win over the Charlotte Hornets, leading the game for almost the entire team despite some spirited runs by the Hornets. Anthony Davis completely dominated Charlotte for one of his best performances of the season as the Lakers solidified themselves as Playoff contenders.

Anthony Davis had a career-defining performance with 42 points (17-28 FG) and 23 rebounds, outscoring the entire Hornets team in the first quarter. LeBron James had a decent 22 points (9-17 FG), seven rebounds, and eight assists while Austin Reaves had 17 points (5-14 FG), five rebounds, six assists, and three steals.

Lakers fans are incredibly excited about what’s to come after this performance by their squad.

“I don’t care who the Lakers are playing. Anthony Davis dropping 20-10 in the first quarter is insane lol,” said one fan who loved what Davis was doing.

“LeBron is still a top 10 player in the league at 40 years old. That sh*ts crazy man,” said one fan amazed at LeBron’s consistency at his age.

“Either the Hornets are the worst team ever assembled or the Lakers with DFS starting are unbeatable. I’ll choose to believe the latter,” said another fan

“The fact that AD needs to drop 40 points and grab 23 rebounds for the Lakers to beat the Hornets is insanity,” said one fan who wasn’t as excited as the rest

“The Hornets simply aren’t good enough to complete this comeback and maintain the lead the rest of the way,”, said another fan.

“Lmaoooo, Vando has single-handedly disrupted the entire Hornets offense because he just decided to. Bridges is frustrated af! That is winning basketball!!!” said one fan praising Jarred Vanderbilt.

“AD really dropped 21 and 11 with 2 blocks in the first quarter son lol,” said a Davis fan.

The Hornets were led by Miles Bridges‘ 26 points (10-23 FG), eight rebounds, and four assists, but the forward had little support. LaMelo Ball left the game in the first quarter, with Josh Okogie stepping up and having a 19-point night (6-11 FG) with four steals. All-in-all, it was a flat offensive showing but the team will be proud to have lost by just two possessions in a game where they should’ve been blown out.

The Lakers are 26-18 after this win but remain 1.5 games behind the Denver Nuggets for the No. 4 seed. The Hornets continue sinking to the bottom of the NBA with a 12-31 record.
