Pop icon Britney Spears was adamant about a public apology after she was allegedly smacked by Victor Wembanyama’s bodyguard.

The 41-year-old took to Instagram to share a video about the incident and shared their thoughts on the whole issue.

“I wanna share with you guys an incident that happened in Vegas that a lot of people are talking about,” she began the video.

“I heard on the news this radio station talking smack and talking s**t that’s why I’m addressing it. I didn’t appreciate the people saying I deserved to be hit because no woman ever deserves to be hit.”

This isn’t the first time the ‘Toxic’ singer has aired her views on social media and asked for an apology. “I have yet to get a public apology from the player, his security, or their organization,” she opined in her first statement after the incident.

It was reported that she was a fan of the young San Antonio Spurs rookie, and when he tapped him to get a picture clicked in Las Vegas, things went downhill when his security guard allegedly backhanded her in the face.

There has been a string of developments since, and one of them was the police department saying there would not be any charges on the guard for his actions. But it looks like Britney wants her apology and stat.

Victor Wembanyama Had Previously Shared His Thoughts On The Incident

Soon after the incident,  Victor Wembanyama described the situation from his view, stating that all he knew was that the security had pushed Britney away and that he didn’t stop to look.

Though she didn’t seem to grab Wembanyama as he mentions, it is true that he had a limited view of the event as he did keep walking like security instructed him to.

“What happened last night, I see the news, obviously. Something did happen when I was walking with some security of the team to a restaurant. We were in the hall. There were a lot of people, so they were calling me, obviously. There was one person who was calling me, but my security told me don’t stop because it was going to make a crowd, so I couldn’t stop. That person was calling me, ‘Sir, sir’, and that person grabbed me from behind. I didn’t see what happened because I was walking straight and they told me don’t stop, but that person grabbed me from behind, not on my shoulder. So I just know the security push her away. I don’t know with how much force, but security pushed her away and I didn’t stop to look, kept walking, and enjoyed a nice dinner.”

Clearly, the security were doing their job and the singer was just in the way of an unfortunate mishap. Hopefully, this blows over soon for all parties involved.
