Center Nikola Jokic has managed to lead the Denver Nuggets to the NBA Finals this season, and there’s no doubt that he has been playing on another level in the playoffs. The Nuggets have a good chance of winning the Finals under his leadership, despite the Miami Heat’s elite defense.

Boston Celtics legends Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett have praised Nikola Jokic for his elite performances in the playoffs. In fact, Paul Pierce even claimed that this is the “most incredible” playoff run that he’s seen.

Paul Pierce: “Denver in 5… I think this is the most incredible run I’ve ever seen… He average… You just swept Bron? Bron don’t get swept.”

Kevin Garnett: “Bro having a crazy run.”

Paul Pierce: “I ain’t never seen somebody so dominant.”

There is no doubt that Nikola Jokic is doing something incredible as of right now, and it is amazing to watch him play. Hopefully, he ends up getting the job done and winning his first championship.

In the playoffs, Nikola Jokic has put up 29.8 PPG, 13.1 RPG, and 10.5 APG for the Denver Nuggets. Averaging a triple-double over the entire playoffs is extremely impressive, and it is clear that Jokic has risen to the challenge.

Nikola Jokic Understands That He Doesn’t Have To Score To Affect The Game

Even though Nikola Jokic is a capable scorer, his biggest asset as a player is his playmaking at the center position. In fact, Nikola Jokic recently admitted that he doesn’t need to score to have a positive influence on the game.

“The most important thing is to win a game and I’m trying to win a game in any possible way. I don’t need to shoot and I know I don’t need to score to affect the game. I think I did a good job today. Everybody contributed today. AG, Jamal, Mike, KCP, and everybody who played. It’s a great win for us.”

While being a scorer is one way to impact the game, the best of the best can impact the game in multiple areas on a nightly basis. Nikola Jokic’s versatility is his greatest strength, and there is nothing that he can’t do on the offensive side of the ball.
