James Harden’s quest to win an NBA Championship is yet to be fulfilled. The Beard is currently a member of the Philadelphia 76ers and has formed a dynamic duo with Joel Embiid.

Although Harden and Embiid haven’t even played two full seasons as teammates, there are rumors about the former’s departure this summer. If that happens, NBA analyst Nick Wright thinks the 76ers should try to replace him with none other than Damian Lillard.

“There are those odd murmurs that James Harden might leave and go back to Houston,” Wright said. “If they flame out in the postseason, it could be a tough offseason for Philadelphia. I’m sure they would try to trade for Dame and remake the team that way.”

Losing James Harden would be a massive blow to the 76ers. The rumor mill suggests Harden could make a return to the Houston Rockets soon. But as of now, they are nothing but rumors.

As for his replacement, who is better than Damian Lillard? Dame is a sensational guard in the league and is apparently disgruntled with the Portland Trail Blazers.

Damian Lillard Can Leave The Portland Trail Blazers If They Decide To Rebuild

Damian Lillard is widely regarded as one of the most loyal players in the NBA right now. He has spent 11 seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers but is still in search of winning the NBA Championship.

Lillard has been suggested by many to move on to the next chapter in his career to win a ring. While Lillard has always denied rumors about leaving the Trail Blazers up until now, he recently dropped hints about making a decision about his future with the team.

“It ain’t a threat. I am not gonna say that I am putting them on a clock, I’m just saying if we can’t do something significant like that, we won’t have a chance to compete on that level,” Lillard said. “Not only will I have a decision to make, but the organization will too. Are we gonna go young, or are we gonna get something done? We’ve not been fully committing to either one. Everybody wants to win. They believe I deserve that opportunity, and I am trusting that we’re committed and diligent about doing those things this offseason… This is our most important offseason since I’ve been here.”

If Dame decides to leave the organization this offseason, he will have the power to shift the power scale in the NBA. After all, he averaged 32.2 PPG, 4.8 RPG, and 7.3 APG this season.

Any team in the league would love to have a player of that caliber on their roster in hopes of bolstering their chances of winning an NBA Championship.
