There is no doubt that there are times viewers end up seeing inappropriate things happen on live television. Though sometimes they are obviously very serious, other times, video can be extremely deceiving.

Recently, an NBA fan shared a video that they believed showed Richard Jefferson slapping the buttocks of his fellow analyst, Chiney Ogwumike on live television. Richard Jefferson denied that this happened, jokingly saying that he likes his job.

God No…. I like my job. I’m crazy not stupid. Even though she did faked the 🙏🏽🤬 https://t.co/nqDlOI2IBM

It is clear that nothing wrong actually happened, and the video was simply at a deceiving angle. That sort of conduct would have been extremely inappropriate, and it is good to see that nothing improper transpired.

Richard Jefferson Has Had Some Strong Opinions On ESPN

During his time on ESPN, Richard Jefferson has not shied away from stating his strong opinions on the sport of basketball. Previously, he went on a passionate rant against load management.

“We want you to do what’s been done over the course of the game of basketball. I was fortunate to come in 2001. There was one trainer, there wasn’t a traveling masseuse, and there weren’t all of these amenities. We now have teams paying millions of dollars to sports science. “

“For Christmas, my parents got me a ticket to go watch the San Antonio Spurs cause David Robinson was my favorite player. One ticket. My dad who worked security and rubbed floors and all of that stuff, used to drop me off at the game and I went in there by myself because my family couldn’t afford to come to the game. So every day that I was on the court I remembered my father, I remember having one ticket and being there and all the families and all the people that were just like me. If David Robinson wouldn’t have played in that game, I get emotional thinking about it because I got to stand next to him in Game 6 of the NBA Finals when he was about to go off into the sunset and tell him he was my favorite player.”

It is clear that Richard Jefferson is against the idea that players shouldn’t play when healthy. It is true that a lot of fans want to see stars play, and it is extremely unfortunate when they don’t get to see their favorite players when going to live games. With that being said, players want to remain healthy for the playoffs, and some believe that load management allows them to do that. There have been other players that have spoken out against load management though, such as Paul George. We’ll see how the league evolves in that department going forward.
