Scottie Pippen On Why Everyone Should Read His Book: “Because You Gon’ Learn About The Greatest Team Of All Time, And The Greatest Players Of All Time.”

2 Min Read

Scottie Pippen’s new book is available now, and it comes with its fair share of controversy and inflammatory comments.

Pippen’s book became a massive topic of discussion late last year as certain excerpts revealed the animosity he held toward Michael Jordan, including him slamming MJ for The Last Dance docuseries and for several other problems he has had with Jordan during and after their time playing together in Chicago.

Scottie Pippen recently took part in an interview with French journalist Bastien Fontanieu to promote his book in France. To close the interview, Fontanieu asked Scottie Pippen to tell fans why they should buy his book. Pippen gave a pretty standard but effective response, telling fans that they would get to learn about the greatest team of all time and some of the greatest players of all time (20:17 onwards).

“Because you gon’ learn about the greatest team of all time, and the greatest players of all time.”

Pippen addressed a host of other subjects in his interview, including his best starting 5, which surprisingly included Michael Jordan in it, despite their beef

On top of that, Pippen also talked about never winning the NBA Defensive Player Of The Year award, despite being one of the best defenders in the league on a yearly basis. He noted that it was the media and their love for Michael Jordan and other players that kept him from winning the accolade.

Pippen’s comments about Michael Jordan in his book have caused a massive rift, not just between him and his former teammate, but also the rest of the NBA community. Many fans have taken to choose sides between Jordan and Pippen, and have begun a lot of arguments to try and determine which player was in the right and which player was in the wrong for the conflict they are embroiled in at the moment.
