Scottie Pippen Selects His All-Time Starting 5: He Doesn't Snub Michael Jordan, Picks Giannis Antetokounmpo Over Charles Barkley

Scottie Pippen has become one of the most controversial voices in the NBA in recent times. The Chicago Bulls legend went from being the beloved player that everybody respected when he shared touches with Michael Jordan to one salty man that says whatever bad thing comes to his mind when he recalls his time in Windy City.

Still, nobody can deny the impact the six-time NBA champion made on the game, which is why many people go to him to discuss NBA-related issues. In a new interview with TrashTalk, Pippen opened up on his new book, while also discussing why he never won the DPOY award and how he'd guard Giannis Antetokounmpo if they played today.

Moreover, at the end of the interview, Pippen was asked to name his all-time starting lineup, and he came up with an interesting squad that included himself, some of the biggest rivals he faced in his career, as well as his best teammate ever (18:55):

"I will take myself, Michael Jordan, Magic," Pippen said before making a pause. "Based on today's game, it would be positionless, right? So, give me Charles Barkley. I will stick with the older players. I take Shaq, I got a lot of offense."

Then, he backtracked on his Barkley selection and went with one of the most dominant players of this generation, the Greek Freak he previously mentioned.

"No, no, no. You know what? Get rid of Barkley, give me Giannis. It's Giannis at the four, and then give me Shaq at the 5."

That's a very good starting five, and one that would give nightmares to any other squad in NBA history. This team is full of offensive power but is also capable of clamping rivals on any given night. Scottie knows it would have been crazy not having Jordan on his lineup, regardless of how bad their relationship was.

He put together a terrific lineup that would give nightmares to whoever stands in front of them. Giannis is the only modern-day player that made it to his lineup, so you know Scottie has the utmost respect for the 2x NBA MVP.
