You go and knock yourself out for the rest of the season because you upset about something, and you punch a damn wall and break your hand. Dumb. Not you, Jaden, your actions. Dumb, irresponsible. I think Minnesota’s toast.”

Smith believes that the Timberwolves have destroyed their chances of winning against the Lakers.
The Purple and Gold have been in great form since the NBA All-Star break, and the Timberwolves needed to be at their best to have a shot at beating them. But with Gobert and Anderson not seeing eye-to-eye and with Jaden McDaniels injured, the odds of defeating the Lakers have reduced for the team.

Following Gobert’s punch at Anderson, he has been handed a one-game suspension by the organization, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.
“Gobert will serve a one-game suspension and is expected to return if the Wolves lose to the Lakers and play another play-in game, or advance into the Western Conference playoffs, sources said.”
