This year has been turning out pretty great for Stephen Curry. Just a few months ago, Curry led the Golden State Warriors to the 2022 NBA Championship. Winning the ring meant that he became a 4x NBA champ and could finally sit at the same table with some pretty elite players.
Most fans thought that would be the highlight of the year for Steph, but that’s not the case. During the offseason, Curry focused on some unfinished business from his time as a student at Davidson College.
13 years ago, Curry decided to pursue his dream of becoming an NBA player. While Steph succeeded in doing that in an amazing way, he still wasn’t a graduate till now. He finished the remaining classes and recently received his diploma from Davidson College.
Evidently, it was a joyous moment for the Curry family. On that note, Steph’s mother, Sonya Curry, was obviously present to watch her son receive his diploma. After Steph received his diploma, Sonya gave a pretty emotional speech, which simply won hearts of fans.
"This is a dream come true for me…"

“I wanted to just sit back and just enjoy the moment because this is a dream come true for me.”
After hearing Sonya’s speech, anyone can easily understand that she was very emotional. It felt like she was on the verge of crying, but she controlled her tears somehow.
