Oftentimes during basketball discussions or debates, we hear the term “complete player” or we hear about a player “that has all the tools he needs to be successful”. When we dive deeper into what these phrases and descriptions mean, we find that the explanation is quite easy. It is simply a player who does a little bit of everything on the court in order to give his team the best chance at victory.

As NBA fans and media members, our focus always tends to gravitate toward the offensive part of the game. Scoring, passing, playmaking, off-ball movement, etc. The three simplest statistics we use to decipher great players from good ones or average players are points, rebounds, and assists. It is as basic as basketball gets, and oftentimes, all you need to prove the level of greatness a player has achieved. Well, that, and winning championships, of course.

With this in mind, below is a list of the NBA players who have combined for the most points, rebounds, and assists over the course of the last 10 seasons. As we have watched some of the game’s greatest scorers, passers, and rebounders emerge from all positions on the court, we decided to take a look at the ones who have accumulated the most total statistics from those basic three I just mentioned. The results are fascinating.

These are the NBA players with the most points, rebounds, and assists over the last 10 seasons.

10. Nikola Jokic – 22,286 Combined

Nikola Jokic

Points – 12,054

Rebounds – 6,273

Assists – 3,959

After Nikola Jokic’s back-to-back MVP reigns in 2021 and 2022, along with a championship and Finals MVP in 2023, his all-around impact and success are now the worst-kept secrets in the NBA. What makes his placement on this list so impressive is that he made his NBA debut in 2015-16, meaning he has cracked the top 10 in combined stats in just eight seasons compared to 10 for most players who occupy spots here.

Jokic’s 12,054 points over the last eight seasons account for just over half of his combined stats in the last eight seasons. Jokic has recorded four seasons with at least 1,500 points during that time and only one season with 2,000 points. As we are all aware, his impact goes so much further than what he provides as a scorer.

As for his 6,273 rebounds, they rank fourth among all players on this list and are only the ones who have had the entire 10 seasons to do so. He has grabbed at least 550 rebounds every season since entering the NBA in 2015. In 2021-22, Jokic led the NBA in total rebounds when he had the first and only 1,000-plus-rebound season of his career with a whopping 1,019 rebounds.

As a playmaker is where Nikola Jokic sets himself apart from every other big man in basketball. Jokic can make any pass from any location on the court and make it look like the easiest pass ever every single time. When it comes to assists, Jokic ranks in the bottom half of the top 10 out of the players on this list, but again, did I mention he was a center? Jokic has recorded at least 500 assists every season since 2019 and recorded a career-high 678 assists during the 2022-23 season.

9. Nikola Vucevic – 22,308 Combined

Nikola Vucevic

Points – 12,709

Rebounds – 7,471

Assists – 2,128

Nikola Vucevic is one of the players I was referring to when I said that many of the players on this list have a head start on Jokic. Vucevic was already in his third season in the NBA when the 2013-14 season rolled around, and his second season with the Orlando Magic. As a scorer, Vucevic has been pretty good wherever he has been, averaging 18.3 PPG and recording eight seasons with at least 1,000 points during that time.

Where Vucevic really got into the top 10 for this list was with his rebounding. Vucevic ranks fourth of any player over the last 10 seasons in rebounding and has the most rebounds of any player in the top 10 for combined stats. Over the last 10 seasons, Vucevic has had five seasons with at least 800 rebounds which includes the last three seasons in a row with the Magic and Bulls.

As a passer and playmaker, Vucevic is certainly not the worst player in the NBA, but he isn’t toward the top either. His 2,128 assists rank 9th out of the 10 players on our list, with his career-high being 307 assists in 2018-19. That was his only season with more than 300 assists in his career which, when compared to Jokic, is not very special. Then again, Jokic is a completely different animal than every player here today.

8. Anthony Davis – 22,816 Combined

Darvin Ham Calls Anthony Davis A Top 5 Player In The NBA After Game 1 Performance

Points – 14,974

Rebounds – 6,343

Assists – 1,499

Having made his NBA debut 11 seasons ago, Anthony Davis’ rookie numbers will be the only ones excluded from his count today. When healthy, Davis is the clear best two-way player in the game, particularly as a rebounder, defender, and scorer. Davis’ totals here are mostly due to his scoring and rebounding, considering his assists total is the lowest of any player in the top 10. Davis has only ever had two seasons with at least 200 assists and has failed to reach 150 assists in each of his last three seasons.

This brings us to his scoring, which has been fantastic among big men over the last decade. He had the only 2,00-point seasons of his career in 2019 and 2019 with New Orleans while registering just two other seasons with at least 1,500 points. Had he remained healthy for the majority of the last three years with the Lakers, Davis would be in a much higher standing amongst his peers.

Finally, Davis’ rebounding is something he has prided himself on from the outset of his career. Other than the 2021 and 2022 injury-riddled seasons, Davis has been a consistent threat for at least 500 rebounds every year. Even in 2022-23, Davis missed 26 games and still grabbed over 700 rebounds. It was just his third season, grabbing 700 or more rebounds. The other two came in 2017 and 2018 with the Pelicans when he grabbed over 800 rebounds in each of those campaigns.

7. Stephen Curry – 24,065 Combined

Stephen Curry

Points – 16,771

Rebounds – 3,135

Assists – 4,159

One of the most successful and impactful players of the last decade is undoubtedly Stephen Curry. While becoming the greatest shooter in NBA history, Curry lit up scoreboards everywhere, setting records from beyond the arc that may never be broken. His 16,771 points rank fifth of any player over the last 10 seasons, and he did it with just two 2,000-point campaigns.

We never think of Curry as a rebounder, and rightfully so. Stephen Curry is not the type of player you will see battling bigger guards and forwards for rebounds. Sure, he has grabbed his fair share, but I will attribute that to the era of basketball we play in rather than his actual rebounding skills. Curry grabbed a career-high 430 rebounds during his 2016 unanimous MVP season and has grabbed at least 335 rebounds in each of his last three seasons.

What I will give Curry a ton of credit for that seems to go unnoticed is his abilities as a playmaker, both on and off the ball. Curry is someone who made a habit of dishing out at least 500 assists early on in his career but has slowed as of late. He has topped 350 assists in each of his last three seasons, which includes 430 assists in 2021-22. He has the ninth most assists of any player over the last 10 years and ranks fifth of any player in today’s top 10.

6. DeMar DeRozan – 24,148 Combined

DeMar DeRozan

Points – 17,074

Rebounds – 3,501

Assists – 3,573

Offensively, DeMar DeRozan has been one of the most talented and well-rounded players of the last 10 years. His ability to do this without having much of a game from three-point land is what makes his sixth spot on this list incredible. Using his mid-range shot and attack on the basket, DeRozan has scored the fourth most points of any player since 2013-14. The six-time All-Star has had just two 2,000-point seasons but seven seasons with at least 1,500 points scored as well.

Over the last 10 seasons, DeRozan has been a solid rebounder as well with the Raptors and Bulls. He has averaged nearly 5.0 RPG or 350 total rebounds per season since 2013-14, grabbing the fourth-most rebounds by a small forward during that stretch as well. DeRozan may not be a top rebounder by this list’s standards, but for his position, he has been one of the best since 2014.

DeRozan has also been an underrated playmaker over this stretch as well. His 3,573 assists since 2013-14 rank second among small forwards behind only LeBron James, who we will talk about just a little later on. DeRozan has been a steady 300-400 assists player over the last 10 seasons, with three seasons of over 400 total assists and averaging 4.9 APG.

5. Damian Lillard – 25,430 Combined

Damian Lillard

Points – 17,814

Rebounds – 2,996

Assists – 4,620

Would it shock you to know that among point guards for the last 10 seasons, Damian Lillard is the highest-scoring one? It shouldn’t be too much of a surprise, considering we have watched Lillard light up the scoreboards since 2012-13 and remain a 20.0 PPG or better scorer with multiple 30.0 PPG seasons over the last 10 years. Since 2013-14, Lillard has scored 1,500 or more points in nine of them, including two 2,000-point seasons as well.

As a rebounder, Lillard ranks 10th out of 10 players included on this list, 139 rebounds behind Stephen Curry for the ninth-lowest total. Lillard has never averaged 5.0 RPG in any season during his career and has never recorded a 400-rebound season, either. His best rebounding season came in 2015 when he grabbed 378 rebounds and averaged 4.6 RPG.

Excluding Russell Westbrook and Chris Paul, Damian Lillard has been one of the more productive passing point guards over the last 10 seasons. He has dished out the third-most assists by a point guard since 2013-14 and the fifth-most overall during that time, trailing only Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul, James Harden, and LeBron James. Lillard has dished out 500 assists or more five times in the last 10 seasons.

4. Giannis Antetokounmpo – 26,550 Combined

Giannis Antetokounmpo

Points – 16,280

Rebounds – 6,891

Assists – 3,379

Two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo ranks fourth in combined stats over the last 10 seasons, which happens to be his entire career, trailing all former MVPs as well. He has played 719 games over the last decade on the court for the Milwaukee Bucks and has broken every franchise scoring record in the books. He has been a 2,000-point scorer twice so far in his career and has scored over 1,700 points per season every year since 2016-17. In 2023, Giannis averaged a career-high 31.1 PPG for a total of 1,959 points in just 63 games.

No player in the top 10 for combined stats over the last decade in the NBA has grabbed more rebounds than Giannis Antetokounmpo. There has only been one season since 2017 in which Giannis did not grab at least 700 rebounds or average at least 10.0 RPG. Although he has not led the NBA in total rebounds yet, Giannis grabbed over 850 rebounds in his back-to-back MVP seasons in 2020 and 2021, which ranked in the top three in the NBA.

As underrated of a passer as Giannis is, his assists numbers are only ahead of Anthony Davis and Nikola Vucevic as far as this top 10 goes. He has averaged 5.5 APG or better over the last five seasons but only totaled more than 400 assists once, mostly relying on his downhill game and kicking out to shooters for his numbers in this department.

3. LeBron James – 27,803 Combined

LeBron James Becomes The First Player In NBA History To Lose 100 Playoff Games

Points – 17,571

Rebounds – 5,114

Assists – 5,118

Did you notice something about this list when looking at LeBron James’ totals? He is the only player on it to accumulate at least 17,000 points, 5,000 rebounds, and 5,000 assists. At this point, I just chuckle at how truly complete of a player LeBron James continues to be even late into his 30s.

Earlier this season, LeBron James became the NBA’s all-time scoring leader and has done a tremendous amount of work over the last 10 seasons to get there. He recorded only two 2,000-point seasons during that time but had at least 1,500 points in nine of those 10 seasons as a consistent offensive threat averaging 26.8 PPG on 52.2% shooting.

James has also always been a consistent rebounder, with over 10,660 rebounds in his career. Over the last 10 years, James has had five seasons with at least 500 rebounds and two seasons with over 600. He has averaged 7.8 RPG and averaged over 8.0 RPG five times as well, making him by far the small forward with the most boards across the NBA.

As a passer and playmaker, LeBron James is simply one of the best ever. James won his first career assists title just four seasons ago when he led the league in assists per game with 10.2 APG and total assists with 684. It was James’ fifth season with at least 500 assists over the last 10 years and his third with over 600 assists. Just as he did with rebounds, James has averaged 7.8 APG since 2013-14 and had four seasons with at least 8.0 APG.

2. Russell Westbrook – 29,117 Combined

Russell Westbrook

Points – 16,625

Rebounds – 6,056

Assists – 6,436

Just as there was an interesting trend with LeBron James’ totals over the last 10 years, there also lies one with Russell Westbrook. Since 2013-14 no other player in the NBA has totaled at least 16,000 points, 6,000 rebounds, and 6,000 assists. As a matter of fact, only two other players have recorded 6,000 assists, and only two others in this top 10 have grabbed at least 6,000 rebounds.

Westbrook, the 2017 MVP, became the only player in NBA history to average a triple-double for a season more than once over the last 10 seasons while also becoming the NBA’s all-time leader in triple-doubles. He also won two scoring titles in the 2015 and 2017 seasons with 1,800 points or more. In 2017 and 2018, he had the only two 2,000-point seasons of his career.

No point guard in the NBA has come close to his rebounding totals either. From 2017 thru 2019, Westbrook had three straight seasons with at least 800 rebounds while also having three seasons with at least 800 assists. Since 2013-14, Westbrook has the most assists of any player in the NB, winning three assists titles and recording eight seasons with at least 500 assists.

1. James Harden – 30,411 Combined

James Harden

Points – 19,875

Rebounds – 4,518

Assists – 6,018

As one of the best all-around players in the game’s history, James Harden hit his offensive peak during the 2010s, going on historic scoring streaks while simultaneously remaining one of the game’s best passers and playmakers.

Harden’s torrid scoring began almost immediately after his arrival in Houston in 2012-13, and only took off from there. He was a 25.0 PPG scorer every season from 2014 thru 2020 and won three scoring titles averaging over 30.0 PPG from 2018 thru 2020. He led the NBA in total points four times during this stretch with an incredible six 2,000-point seasons in a row from 2015 thru 2020.

As a rebounder, Harden has never stood out, but that’s really because he was too busy stealing the show in other areas of his game, specifically his passing and playmaking. Harden has led the NBA in total assists once before in 2017 when he recorded 907 total assists and won his first assists title with 11.2 APG. In 2022-23, Harden recorded 618 assists, winning his second career assists title with 10.7 APG. Since 2013-14, Harden has had eight seasons with at least 500 assists and five seasons with at least 600.
