Draymond Green hit the floor hard after his collision with LeBron James during Game 4 of the second round of the playoffs between the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers.

The forward landed heavily giving the Warriors a serious injury scare after going down clutching his head in pain. The incident occurred in the second quarter when James tried to intercept a Stephen Curry fastbreak pass to Green who was open at the time.

James missed the ball and ended up running into Green, who bore the full brunt of the Lakers’ star. You can watch the clip below:

There was no doubt that Green was knocked off albeit briefly before he was able to get back on his feet to some cheers. And in a good display of sportsmanship, James checked in and helped him get to his feet.

Green finished his evening with 8 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists, as Golden State went down 104-101 in Game 4 to give the Lakers a 3-1 lead. For the hosts, James had 27 points, while Anthony Davis had 23 to show. The unlikely hero was Lonnie Walker IV whose fourth-quarter heroics with 15 points sealed the deal for the Lakers.

While Golden State would no doubt be dejected with the loss, they will be relieved to know that their forward was okay.

Can Draymond Green And The Golden State Warriors Pull It Back In Game 5?

The Warriors now face an uphill task as they head into a must-win Game 5 to keep their playoff progress hopes alive. Stephen Curry has continued to deliver, but the rest of the team hasn’t stepped up to deliver yet. Klay Thompson has blown hot and cold, as has Jordan Poole.

There is good news in the offing as they play their next game at home, and perhaps the home-court advantage is what they need to keep themselves in the edition. The Warriors aren’t new to crunch situations, but against a relentless Lakers unit, they will be tested. Expect Game 5 to be a humdinger. Only time will tell if they force the Lakers into a Game 6.
