The Phoenix Suns are going to be one of the most discussed teams this offseason. Not only did they acquire Kevin Durant in a massive trade in February, but they also started the offseason by acquiring Bradley Beal from the Washington Wizards.

With massive expectations to win a title next season, Durant and Devin Booker are leaving no stone unturned. A video of the pair training hard while vacationing in the Bahamas shows their commitment to their game.

Durant and Booker showed phenomenal on-court chemistry in the games they played together. After all, nuclear scoring nights from the pair led to the Suns taking two games off the eventual champion Nuggets in the playoffs.

With a new coach, the addition of Bradley Beal, and hopefully a motivated Deandre Ayton, the Suns could make a lot of noise next season.

Challenges Of Filling Out Their Roster

The luxury tax threshold for this season has been set at $165 million, with the salary cap being $136 million. The Suns are paying $162 million to their big four and will shoot past the luxury tax once they bring back Cameron Payne. They also have minimum contracts on the roster already, with Ish Wainright, Jordan Goodwin, and Isaiah Todd counting against their cap right now.

The Suns will go minimum contract hunting this summer and hope some good free agents are willing to take a discount and join them for a minimum with guaranteed playing time on a thin roster and possibly a championship ring.

They have a $5 million trade exception they could use to add a player of that value too, but their draft asset cabinet is threadbare after sending most of their first-round picks for Durant and most of their second-round picks for Beal.
