• LeBron and Bronny James are searching for a solution behind Bronny’s recent health struggles

• Bronny suffered a cardiac arrest while training on 26 July

• The 18-year-old was released from the hospital shortly after his admittance, but a cause has yet to be revealed

The basketball world was left in shock when it was reported that Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest while training with the USC Tigers in July. LeBron James‘ son has always been destined for an NBA career, but this health incident has clouded his future.

The James family is exhausting their options while looking for solutions, recently being seen outside the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, one of the best heart institutes in the nation.

The James family should and will take their time before informing everyone what Bronny’s future looks like. Even though people are optimistic, there’s no guarantee that Bronny will hit the floor for the USC Tigers this college season.

This could also postpone the initial plan of LeBron and Bronny, possibly teaming up when he gets drafted in 2024.

What Are Bronny James’ Options?

From a health perspective, there is nothing concrete that anyone knows about Bronny’s condition. He didn’t have a long hospital stay, so we can assume it’s not a severe condition, but everyone will be extra cautious while handling a return to full-time basketball.

Bronny has a teammate who can set a good example for him. Vince Iwuchukwu suffered a cardiac arrest in training with the USC Tigers last summer but managed to return to the court towards the end of the 22-23 NCAA season. Depending on the severity of Bronny’s condition, he will hope that he can chart a similar course.

His draft stock will naturally be affected, with scouts having him as a potential top-10 pick before the cardiac arrest. If he returns to the court and declares for the 2024 NBA Draft, he’ll still likely get selected but lower in the first round.
