In the immediate aftermath of Game 5, Nikola Jokic tried his best to play it cool and soften the feeling of being an NBA champion. As his coaches and teammates were celebrating loudly, the Joker almost seemed bored with the championship celebrations and admitted to the media that he just wanted to go home.

While there is no doubt that Jokic will catch a flight to Belgrade soon, it didn’t happen before parting it up in sin city. In a video making its rounds on Friday, the 2023 Finals MVP can be seen living his best life at a nightclub in Las Vegas.

Winning an NBA Championship requires serious work, so it’s good that Jokic and the Nuggets are taking the time to relish in their victory and enjoy the fruits of their labor. Of course, there’s no better place than Las Vegas for Jokic to enjoy himself and live a little.

But as most fans know by now, it won’t be long before it’s back to business for the Nuggets…

Can The Nuggets Repeat As Champions?

Denver is going to be somewhat limited in what they can do this summer, but if they re-sign Bruce Brown and add some more veterans of the bench, there’s no reason why the Nuggets shouldn’t be favored to win it all again next season.

“I’ve got a crazy idea man. I am a little crazy and a little emotional, but let’s do this shit again. Let’s do this again,” said head coach Michael Malone during the victory parade this week. “I want to be on another float, I want to come down the f***ing parade, sorry for my language. Excuse me. I want to experience this again because this city, this franchise, these fans, they deserve that. So, let’s go Nuggets, I love you guys, and let’s go celebrate.”

We will find out soon enough if the Nuggets can become the NBA’s next great dynasty, but they will definitely be in the title mix for the next few years to come. As a 2x MVP and instant Hall-of-Famer, the presence of Nikola Jokic ensures that this team will be a problem for some time.
