Power forward Zion Williamson is widely considered to be the best player on the New Orleans Pelicans, and he is well-known for being one of the most dynamic athletes in the league.
Though we usually hear about Zion Williamson due to his exploits on the court, he has recently been embroiled in controversy off of it. Porn star Moriah Mills has recently unleashed a barrage of Tweets targeted at him. She has leaked the DMs the two shared and even claimed that she might be pregnant by him as well. He has also been called out by another woman, who called him a “sex addict”. Amidst all these scandals, Zion Williamson’s stepfather Lee Anderson has publically defended him, telling people to not believe everything that they see.
“That’s my son, and I love him…Believe half of what you see, and nothing you hear…I stand by my son 100%.”

It will be interesting to see if Zion Williamson himself will speak on any of these controversies in the future. It seems as though he’s letting the heat from social media die down first, however, which is a smart move.
This season with the New Orleans Pelicans, Zion Williamson averaged 26.0 PPG, 7.0 RPG, and 4.6 APG. He is clearly an All-NBA tier player when on the court, and the key for him is simply to remain healthy.
The New Orleans Pelicans Have Been Frustrated With Zion Williamson And Have Considered Trading Him Away
These recent controversies may only be detrimental to what’s been a tenuous relationship between Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans franchise. In fact, it was recently revealed that the team has been frustrated with him and has even considered trading him away.
“Based on my conversations with people with the team, there are times when they feel very fed up with Zion. Not enough to necessarily want to trade Zion Williamson away or actively start to do that.
“Again, they’re really trying to appease him with a big deal shake up or the training staff, but it’s in their minds in some capacity. And you know, they’ve worked through some trade scenarios or what the return for him would be,” Madison said on the Locked On Pelicans podcast.
It will be interesting to see whether the team decides to follow through with trading Zion Williamson at some point.
