Time is a very complicated thing. We can’t control how it passes, only how how we we use it.
For LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers, their timer started the moment he inked that deal this past summer. See, at nearly 34-years old, James is due to hit the inevitable wall. If the team doesn’t find a way to win big in these next few years, the LBJ era in Los Angeles will have nothing to show for all its swagger.

What if I told you that we might have a solution?
Granted, none of this is based on any rumor or report, merely a “suggestion”/fantasy on how they should go about constructing this team to win because, quite frankly, this bunch of misfits isn’t going to cut it.
The first to go will be Brandon Ingram, who’d be dealt to a team like the Hawks, Suns or Magic for the number one pick in the 2019 draft. Ingram showed his immaturity when he slapped around James Harden in the match with Houston, and he’d likely be the only player with enough upside to lure that top pick in a trade. Josh Hart or Kyle Kuzma would likely have to be included as well.
Guess who’d be waiting to be picked #1? That’s right, Duke superstar freshman Zion Williamson, who is already predicted to become the next great NBA superstar. Z-Nation would be alive in Los Angeles.

Plus, with the amount of cap-space L.A. is due to have this upcoming summer, there’s room for one more.
With (likely) three Championships under his belt, and having accomplished almost everything in Golden State, who’s to say KD won’t be ready to move on? Not only would the Lakers provide him with a big market for his brand, but it’d also give him additional Championship opportunities, with the chance to play alongside LeBron James.
With all three, the Lakers could ensure they’d take full advantage of the King James era, while also setting themselves up nicely for the future. Just think about it.
LeBron James, Zion Williamson, and Kevin Durant.
That’s a team, for sure, that history would never forget… and that history has not yet seen.
