Isiah Thomas Ranks The Top 5 Players Ever: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar 1st, Michael Jordan 4th

Isiah Thomas has fueled the controversy between his ‘Bad Boys’ Pistons and Michael Jordan. Thomas and Detroit were one of the main focus of the third and fourth episodes of ‘The Last Dance’ documentary and it looks like that helped all the individuals involved in the feud remember why they dislike each other so much.

Jordan recalled how Thomas acted when the Bulls swept the Pistons in the 1991 Eastern Conference Finals, not shaking hands with the rivals. MJ even called him an ‘a–hole’ for his behavior, which might have sparked something inside the former point guard. Talking with CBS Sports’ Bill Reiter, Thomas was asked to list his top 5 players of all time and his response was indeed controversial.

Asked Isiah to rank the five best players he ever played against based on his own experience. His answer:

1. Kareem
2. Bird
3. Magic
4. Jordan đź‘€
5. Dr. J https://t.co/YDojum1dYD

In order, he went with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan and Julius Erving. It is shocking to Jordan out of the top 2 in these types of lists.

The actions from both parties have taken this feud to what it is today. It’s believed among the NBA world that Jordan prevented Thomas from joining the 1992 Dream Team, and that hasn’t been forgotten yet.

Even though he listed some of the greatest players in NBA history, it’s odd to see Michael falling that low on this list. A lot was said during the late 80s and the early 90s between these teams. It’s really hard to see these guys patching things up in the foreseeable future.
