Bill Simmons: “I’m Picking Miami In 6. And I Really Feel Strongly About It. I Really Think They Have An Excellent Chance Of Winning This Series.”

Bill Simmons had picked the Miami Heat to become the 2020 NBA champions in a couple of days, as he believes the team has the tools to pull off the upset. Simmons, known for being one of the biggest LeBron James’ haters, tipped the Heat to come out winners for this series. While most analysts have the Lakers as the clear favorites, Simmons is going against the flow and is favoring the Floridians to shock the world once again.

During a recent edition of his podcast, Simmons gave his prediction on the upcoming NBA Finals, saying the Heat has an ‘excellent chance’ to win the series (2:20 minute mark).

“I’m picking Miami in 6. And I really feel strongly about it. I really think they have an excellent chance of winning this series. …Miami in 6 is 10 to one right now. I think this is a great matchup for Miami because they have a ton of guys to throw at LeBron James, 3-point shooting, two guards that are gonna have the upper hand against basically anybody that the Lakers throw at them, and their biggest issue is gonna be Davis’ size and the Lakers going big, offensive rebound, getting Bam in foul trouble, Miami possibly will have to use Meyers Leonard a little bit. I’m just not worried about it. I love the chip on the shoulder that Miami has, and that nobody believes in them. They’re not gonna back down to this Lakers team.”

The Heat have a very good team, they have a great coach who can make things hard for the Lakers. However, not everybody believes they will win more than one or two games in the series. Yet, that hasn’t stopped the Heat during this season and they’re ready to surprise everybody once again.
