The Philadelphia 76ers and Chicago Bulls are on opposite sides of the spectrum when it comes to being a playoff contender and having superstars on the squad. The Sixers are on track as a playoff contender with two stars on the roster, while Chicago has yet to make an impact in the East despite having some quality young players on the squad.
But there is a trade package that will solve both of the franchise’s woes as the Sixers have yet to make an NBA Finals in the Joel Embiid-Ben Simmons era while the Bulls are a forgotten franchise. By trading leadership qualities for shooting and athleticism, both teams can begin their quest for reaching success in the league.
Here is a trade deal that will move Sixers star Ben Simmons to Chicago in exchange for athletic phenom Zach LaVine.
Trade Package: Ben Simmons For Zach LaVine
Chicago Finally Get Their Franchise Player

The Chicago Bulls have talent on the team without question, but they haven’t utilized them well enough. Ever since Derrick Rose suffered his injuries and Jimmy Butler left the team, the Bulls simply have not found the star they wanted. Zach LaVine has blossomed into a very strong scorer this year, averaging a career-high 25.5 PPG, but he has seemed disinterested at times. The Bulls have changed coaches too often and this has resulted in a bit of team inconsistency.
By acquiring Ben Simmons, the team finally have their franchise star. For the first time since Derrick Rose, Ben Simmons can hold the pressure of the franchise on his back. Simmons had a great year this season averaging 16.4 PPG, 7.8 RPG, and 8.0 APG and he could take a greater level in his play when he played for Philadelphia. The Bulls will finally get their leader who can do it all on the court, something they can use to finally get back into the playoffs with the likes of Lauri Markannen and Coby White helping Simmons out.
Philadelphia Get Shooting And Athleticism Alongside Joel Embiid

The Sixers have three legitimate stars in Tobias Harris, Joel Embiid, and Ben Simmons. Despite losing Jimmy Butler a year ago, the Sixers looked primed and ready to be NBA title contenders every year going forward. However, they have only been good, not great. Whether it’s injuries or poor performances from the players, the Sixers have not gotten over the hump. This might be because both Simmons and Embiid are big men who like to play around the rim, and don’t compliment each other’s styles. It might be time for Philly to focus their future on Joel Embiid and build around him.
With the arrival of Doc Rivers to Philly, the Sixers need to move fast. Rivers has never had a big man as talented as Joel Embiid, with no knock against Blake Griffin, and he can utilize him in the same way Dwight Howard was used for the Orlando Magic in 2009. By surrounding Embiid with shooters, the Sixers could cause big trouble in the East. Zach LaVine brings his 25.5 PPG and 38.0% 3-point shooting to the team, alongside Josh Richardson (34.1%) and Tobias Harris (36.7%). The Sixers can legitimately be an inside-outside threat better than any team in the league by acquiring Zach LaVine and moving on from Ben Simmons and his shooting liability.
