Michael Jordan’s Agent David Falk: “Michael Jordan Would Average 60 PPG On 75% Shooting In Today’s Era. He Would Never Team Up With Magic And Bird.”

Speaking on SiriusXM NBA Radio, Michael Jordan’s agent, David Falk, sounded off on the state of the league today, saying some rather controversial statements about defense, superstars, and (of course) how the former Chicago Bulls superstar would tear up today’s players.

“I said this publicly, I think he’d average 60. I think he’d shoot 75% from the floor… I don’t think the talent today is nearly as deep as in Michael’s era. Today, if you ask me how many superstars there are in the NBA today, I’d say four or five. In Michael’s era, there was probably 25.”

He also named Kobe, not LeBron, as the closest player he has seen to Jordan.

“I think the closest player, to me, was Kobe — in terms of his intensity, his athleticism, his burning desire to win. And, like Michael (until he went to the Wizards), he played on one team his whole career.”

On superteams, Falk made sure to point out how it is a trend Michael never had an interest in. He wanted to beat his competition, not join them.

“If you ask Jordan tomorrow — did you ever want to play with Bird and Magic? He’d look at you like you’re on crack and say ‘not a chance in the world. I loved those guys, but I wanted to kick their butt, every single night.'”

Often regarded as the GOAT, Michael Jeffrey Jordan retired as a 14x All-Star, 11x All-NBA Player, 10x Scoring Champ, 5x MVP, 9x All-Defensive player, and 6x Champion. His talent, skillset, and dominance on the court were only rivaled by his work ethic and a relentless drive to win.

It’s hard to say how he would have fared in today’s 3-point heavy league. But, all things considered, we’ll give them the benefit of the doubt on that one.
