Patrick Ewing On Steph Curry: “Steph, Like Michael, Changed The Game.”

Stephen Curry’s amazing shooting ability has done more than make him a 2x MVP. His magic from beyond the arc has also played a significant role in re-shaping the game and how it is played today.

Recognizing his impact, former Knicks star Patrick Ewing compared Steph to Michael Jordan, drawing similarities with how they both changed the game.

“Steph, like Michael, changed the game,” Ewing said. “You got guys shooting those deep shots and doing the things that he did. Michael changed it by all the dunking he was doing. Georgetown played [Davidson} and my son was on the team so I went to the game. He kicked our butt.

I still didn’t think he would the player that he became. I take my hat off to him. He’s definitely a student of the game, he’s worked at his craft and he has those guys playing together as a team.”

During Mike’s heyday, he was considered superhuman for his insane jumping ability. With high-flying dunks and unstoppable drives to the rim, he had the entire globe on its heels.

For Curry, his marksmanship has reinvented the importance of the three-pointer, and it seems that more and more stars nowadays are making it an essential part of their game.

Needless to say, it takes a really special player to have that big of an impact, and Ewing seems to understand that more than anyone. The question now is, who will be the next one to come along and create a game-changing shockwave?
