LeBron James is enjoying a terrific season with the Los Angeles Lakers, already having the greatest 18th season for anybody in NBA history. The King has made sure to leave a big mark on the association and he won’t stop anytime soon. He’s playing at the highest level at age 36, even being considered one of the main candidates to win the MVP award this campaign.

That would be his 5th award but he recently claimed he feels he should have more than that. James has been consistent throughout his entire career and a lot of people believe he was ‘robbed’ at least once during the past decade. LBJ made the case for himself, expressing how he really feels about his accolades, but admitted that he’s not the first one that feels that way.

“I should have more than four I believe,” James said, via Matt Eppers of USA Today. “But I don’t and I don’t sit around thinking about it or crying about it or whatever the case may be.

“I bet a lot of the greatest that played this game feel like they should’ve had more as well if you ask any one of those guys.”

After winning the award in 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2013, James is aiming to get his fifth MVP prize, which would tie Michael Jordan and Bill Russell and would put him one behind Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. LeBron is well aware that winning the award this season, at age 36, would be huge for him.

“It means something, for sure,” he said. “I’m not going to sit here and say it doesn’t mean anything to me. For me to be able to win it a few times in my career, it’s always been special.

“It would mean a lot. At my age, what I’m able to do, what I’ve been doing this whole season, what I bring to the table every single night on both sides of the floor. It would mean an unbelievable thing for me personally at this point in my career.”

This man doesn’t seem to know that he’s closer to his 40s than his 30s and he just keeps balling. He finished with 37 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists on 14/22 shooting, 4/9 from three and 5/6 from the line against the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday night, confirming his sweet moment against rookie sensation LaMelo Ball.

When everybody believed Anthony Davis’ absence would continue to be a problem for the Lakers, James has stepped up and is leading this team to win their first 4 games of the second half of the season. Fans are delighted with Bron’s performances this season, especially on the defensive end. Redditor “justformystories” pointed out that he’s leading the best defense in the league without AD, who finished second last year in the DPOY voting.

“Leading the 1# defense in the league without 2nd in DPOY voting last year and top 5 in DPOY ladder. If you watch his games you see he is playing defense on his 2013 level.”

“Zamineminehaha” says that with Davis missing 18 out of the 41 games, the team still has the best defense in the league and are now 1.5 games back of the 1 seed. The Lakers have the best defensive rating in the league and it’s not even close with the Philadelphia 76ers, their closest pursuers for that honor.

This man has done a terrific job for this team and even though people insist that he’s washed and slowing down, LeBron keeps demonstrating he’s the best player in the world and nobody will take that from him until he retires.
