It’s not a secret that Joel Embiid is having a great season with the Philadelphia 76ers, becoming the offensive force of the team, leading them to be the leaders of the Eastern Conference alongside Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris.

The Cameroonian is having a very sweet moment and that doesn’t seem to finish anytime soon. JoJo is ready to take the league by storm and let everybody know he’s the best player in the world. In a season where nobody expected a lot from the Sixers after the fiasco they lived in the Orlando bubble, this player has demonstrated the opposite and now is on the pace to match one of the most impressive MVP seasons ever.

According to ESPN Stats and Info, Embiid is on pace to join 2015-16 Stephen Curry as the only players to average 30 points on 50% shooting and 40% on 3-pointers in a season. Sure, the Sixers aren’t having the same run that Steph had with the Warriors that season but he’s still making impressive things on the field.

He’s one of the leading candidates to win the 2021 NBA MVP award and something to have in mind is that Curry became the unanimous MVP while posting those numbers. That should give hope to Embiid and his MVP case.

Although the Sixers have done a terrific job after Doc Rivers’ arrival, they know the job is not done and Embiid is ready to lead this team to the promised land this season. The competition is extremely hard with teams like the Milwaukee Bucks or Brooklyn Nets also having a good case to play in the Finals but JoJo can be unstoppable and the Sixers are counting on him to lead them to the biggest series of all.

If he keeps this pace, it would be interesting to see what the other candidates do to snatch that MVP award from him. The picture looks very promising for the Cameroonian and the Sixers fans expect him to continue his good moment.
