JR Smith Clarifies LeBron James And Kyrie Irving Relationship: “LeBron And Kyrie Are Not Archenemies. Actually, They Get Along Great.”

The NBA world is convinced that LeBron James and Kyrie Irving hate each other since the latter requested a trade from the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2017. A lot has happened since that moment and there isn’t a single person around the league that doesn’t think there is bad blood between the two stars.

Well, it looks like there is somebody who is convinced of the opposite, and that person actually played with both stars in the then known as Quicken Loans Arena. The guard shed light on this situation, explaining that contrary to what most people think, James and Irving have a very good relationship. During a recent interview, the 2x NBA champion tried to end one of the most controversial narratives in the NBA right now.

“LeBron and Kyrie are not archenemies. Actually, they get along great,” Smith said, via Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson.

He spent enough time in Cleveland to know what was going on between Kyrie and LeBron and even though things didn’t end well between them, JR has claimed there is no beef whatsoever between these two stars.

This is not the first time the former Los Angeles Lakers player talks about Kyrie. Back in 2019, he praised the point guard for apologizing to LeBron after his tumultuous exit from the Cavaliers.

When you see Kyriesaying that Kevin Durant is the first player he can trust to take the last shot in a game or when he trolls LeBron after missing a free throw, it’s hard to think there isn’t resentment from the 29-year-old towards the King. Only they know what’s happening and the state of their relationship but the majority of people are convinced something is off between them.
