The NBA is a league known for having athletes with big egos and always thinking of themselves instead of anybody else. When you’re at the top of the world, earning millions and making plenty of fans around the world love you, it’s easy to lose focus and get bigger than you are.
However, we’ve seen cases of players that have put their ego aside and have always cared about their teams and their teammates without slowing down. Recently, Twitter account @MjsGoat identified some players that were really unselfish during their careers and won some things in the process.
The “most unselfish superstars in NBA history” features Dirk Nowitzki, Tim Duncan, Dwyane Wade, Stephen Curry, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and Bill Russell. All these guys have been terrific for the association and have left a big mark both on and off the court. Not a single person had a bad thing to say about them and that says a lot about their quality as players and people.

Of course, other fans believed the list missed a couple of names and they let “MjsGoat” know, offering their candidates to one list that doesn’t have that many spots to fill out.

Manu Ginobili was a player with more talent than James Harden and who could’ve easily abandoned his team for money and stats, but he became a 6th man for a winning team instead. He deserves to be up here

We have seen great players over the course of the years but when you think about unselfishness, at least two of three on that list come to your mind. They gave everything for their teams, earned the love of their own fans and even rival ones. That’s how you know somebody was really great and made a big impact on the league.
