Everybody wants to give their two pennies on the ongoing situation between Russell Westbrook and the Houston Rockets. The All-Star point guard recently requested a trade from the team and plenty of reports surfaced after that. The Rockets have a lot to do in the shortened NBA offseason and looking for a trade partner for Westbrook must be a priority for them.
Now the entire NBA community seems to have information about the things going on in H-Town with Brodie, the team and his best teammate James Harden. Kelly Iko of The Athletic reported that Westbrook and Harden had ‘several tense exchanges’ during the season and that didn’t help the team.
Now ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith doubled down on those comments and even claimed Westbrook and Harden don’t want to play together anymore.
Fortunately for us, Russ was able to shut down that narrative and he took to Instagram to reply to Stephen A., stating that those rumors were ‘fabricated.’

“It’s my birthday, but I should say. This is completely fabricated. Y’all have a good night.” Russ wrote.
The Rockets traded for Westbrook the last offseason to team up with Harden and see if they could get the job done. Things looked promising at some point in the past season but the general result wasn’t good and now Russ wants to play for a team where he can be the floor general, as he was in Oklahoma City.
Harden even congratulated him on his birthday, wishing him all the best despite Russ’ current dispute with the Rockets. This has gotten out of control but Brodie is there to play down any rumor trying to stir the pot between him and Harden.
