Kyrie Irving has said plenty of controversial things over the past couple of years. From the all-seeing eye to the moon landing, to roasting his own teammates, he has a very unique perspective on life and basketball that often has the community in shock.
His most recent comments involve Kevin Durant, who he has basically revered as his best teammate ever and as a guy who has played with (and won a title with) LeBron James, many see that as a direct jab towards The King himself.

In response to Ky, ESPN’s Kendrick Perkins basically blasted him for being jealous of his former teammate…
“He is a bonafide hater. He is so jealous, and he envies LeBron James that he can’t even hide it. It’s seeping through his pores. I wouldn’t be surprised if Kyrie is sitting at home having watch parties, having a Dame Lillard jersey in the first round saying ‘c,on Dame, score 50, send him home!'”
Let’s quit all the dancing around what it really is! COLD HARD FACT, Kyrie Irving is a HATER when it comes to Lebron James. Carry on… https://t.co/bo1LnjKYUF

It’s no secret that LeBron has had much more success over his career than Kyrie. And while Uncle Drew has not publicly called out Bron for anything, he has also taken some pretty subtle blows his direction since their departure in 2018, with his most recent just being one of many.
In the end, it might be unfair to say Irving is jealous of LeBron. He’s doing pretty well for himself as a multi-million dollar basketball player. But he shouldn’t be surprised that fans and media members are blowing up on him, especially after his long history of questionable quotes.
