10 NBA Players Who Hate Each Other

The NBA is extremely competitive, so most players obviously have something to prove, or feel like it. Hence, more often than not, they get caught up in the heat of the moment.

Contents
  • Jimmy Butler vs. TJ Warren
  • Rudy Gobert vs. Hassan Whiteside
  • Joel Embiid vs. Karl-Anthony Towns
  • Rajon Rondo vs. Chris Paul
  • Russell Westbrook vs. Patrick Beverley

So, it’s not crazy to see players that dislike each other go at it every time they have to play, building some of the most iconic rivalries in the history of the game.

Obviously, modern NBA isn’t the exception to that rule, so today, we’re going to talk about 10 players that completely hate each other’s guts.

Jimmy Butler vs. TJ Warren

Butler and Warren became the latest addition to this list after their heated encounter this week during the Pacers vs. Heat game. They got caught up and Butler showed some of the finest trash talking we’ve seen in years.

After the game, Butler even posted a photo of the calendar pointing their next matchup. ‘I can guard him and he can’t guard me’, he claimed. Let’s see how things go when they see each other again.

Rudy Gobert vs. Hassan Whiteside

Gobert and Whiteside come a long way. A couple of seasons ago, Rudy Gobert apparently threw some shade at Whiteside with a cryptic tweet. Gobert claimed that sometimes you can have good stats but not help your team, and Evan Fournier knew he was talking about Blanc-coté (Whiteside).

Recently, Damian Lillard claimed Whiteside is the best defensive big man in the league, to which Gobert replied: “tell your coach to put him at the end of the game”, so clearly there’s some bad blood between them.

Joel Embiid vs. Karl-Anthony Towns

Joel Embiid has made a lot of enemies during his brief time in the league, but no one like Karl-Anthony Towns. They got on each other’s faces during their last matchup and even threw some punches.

Then, they took their battle to social media, with KAT mocking Embiid claiming that he was ‘raised by lions’. They’re arguably the most talented young men in the league, so this feud will live up for years.

Rajon Rondo vs. Chris Paul

Rajon Rondo and Chris Paul don’t have the best reputation around the league. They’ve both created a lot of locker room conflict, but they definitely don’t like each other the slightest.

It was clear when they got into a fight last year during the Rockets vs. Lakers matchup. Then, Rondo claimed that everybody knew Paul wasn’t a good teammate.

Russell Westbrook vs. Patrick Beverley

Russell Westbrook and Patrick Beverley don’t mind getting into everybody’s faces. They just don’t care if they’re not liked, they are who they are and won’t back down from any challenge.

Notably, that has made both go at it every time they face each other. Westbrook claims Beverley fooled everybody and isn’t a good defender, and Patrick just keeps messing with him and mocking him. They’ll have a nice battle in the playoffs for sure.
