Stephen Curry spoke recently at a public event for his Curry brand about his time with Team USA. Curry addressed the feelings he had during Team USA’s gold medal game against France in Paris, noting that he couldn’t imagine that being the circumstances he and the team were in for their gold medal win, before taking out the medal to show it off.

“That Serbia game and the France game, the way that we did it was some storybook stuff that I still can’t explain. It was just a special, special experience for your first Olympics, to close it out like that. (During) the last three minutes of the France game, those shots were a moment that you just look up to.”

“The reps, shooting those shots all the time, it doesn’t really matter what the stage is. I’ve got ultimate confidence and faith in myself. I’m obviously glad they went in (laughs). Beating France in France in that environment was something I could have never imagined. I got my hardware, made sure I brought it… Memories for a lifetime.”

Curry is clearly very proud of his accomplishment with Team USA. Prior to the 2024 Olympics, Curry had not gotten the chance to represent Team USA at the Olympics. So to be able to take part in the historic tournament at this late stage of his career, and to be able to secure the gold medal was a great feeling for Curry.
