Nick Young won the 2023 BIG3 championship as player-coach for the Enemies and their title defense is now underway. In the lead-up to their first game of the 2024 season, Young, who is now the full-time head coach, was asked if he had a message for the haters who doubted his coaching abilities and he had a hilarious response.

“I let my rings speak for itself, you know,” Young said. “I won in the NBA, I won in the BIG3, you know, I’m just a winner in life.”

Young did indeed win a championship in the NBA with the Golden State Warriors in 2018. He was given his ring the following year in Oakland Arena (then known as Oracle Arena) where the Week 1 games for the BIG3 are being held.

Young’s Enemies were up against Triplets in their opener, in what was a rematch of the title game from last year. The result was no different this time around either, as they won 50-44.

While Young has become somewhat of a meme in recent years, there is no denying that, for the most part, he won at life. While he didn’t exactly play a big role in the Warriors winning that title, the 39-year-old did make about $38 million in salaries during his time in the NBA, which is a fair bit.

Young managed to play for 12 seasons in the league in which he averaged 11.4 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 0.5 steals per game, and that’s no mean feat. There was one incident in his life, though, where he lost big time, which was when Iggy Azalea broke off their engagement.

Young’s former teammate D’Angelo Russell secretly recorded him admitting to cheating on her and the video somehow got leaked online. Azalea promptly dumped him and Young is still quite upset with Russell over that.

Nick Young Reveals Iggy Azalea Took All The Furniture And The Car After They Broke Up

Young recently sat down for an interview with Vlad TV, where he was asked about the end of that relationship. Young shared how Azalea took the car and all the furniture after they broke up.

“Just the furniture. Because it was like we had a deal where I get the house and she put the furniture in, you know, so I put them out, I got the house, and she didn’t trust my, you know, style of buying furniture and stuff, so she was like, she’s gonna pay for it.”

“So after it was over, I come back, all the furniture gone, dead. I came home and everything was gone, man. So I came home to a tow truck towing the car she got me. She took the car back. 64 Impala.”

“It was on the tow truck. I’m like, what the I love that car, because it was blue. It was like LA. But yeah, she took that. So, I was being petty… I took the ring back.”

Well, if Azalea paid for the furniture and the car, there is nothing wrong with her taking all that back. Three years after they parted ways, Young got engaged to his high school sweetheart Keonna Green, with whom he was in an on-again, off-again relationship. They now have three children together and reportedly, a fourth one is on the way.

Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely.
