The Houston Rockets blew out the Sacramento Kings on Saturday night, and during the fourth quarter of the contest, Dillon Brooks hilariously blew a kiss at the Kings’ bench after drilling a three-pointer in front of them.

If you had thought even for a moment that the events that transpired against the Los Angeles Lakers in the playoffs last year had humbled him, then you clearly haven’t been paying attention.
Brooks played very well for Canada at the 2023 FIBA World Cup and capped the tournament off with a 39-point outing against Team USA in the third-place game. He has tremendous self-belief, and there isn’t much that anyone can do to shake it.
This shot against the Kings was the second three-pointer he hit on the night and it took him to a game-high 26 points. The 27-year-old also had 9 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 block, and he played a big role in the Rockets coming away with a 107-89 win.
Dillon Brooks Revealed Why He Blew A Kiss
While Brooks never really needs a reason to go at the opposition, it turns out there might have been one for this incident. He was asked after the game about blowing the kiss and Brooks hilariously “praised” the Kings’ bench for their conduct during the game.
“I think they were being (a) respectable bench over there following the rules of the NBA,” Brooks said. “That’s just something that I do. I don’t know, I don’t feel like I was blowing it towards them. I was blowing it towards the crowd.
I asked Dillon Brooks about the kiss he blew after the step back 3 in the corner. Dillon made sure to give us a pic answer.

He tried to deflect it at the end by saying it was aimed at the crowd, but we all know it wasn’t. The Kings’ bench might have been flaunting some rules or could have been chirping during the game, and Brooks wasn’t going to miss an opportunity to get back at them.
Dillon Brooks Has Been On Fire For The Rockets
When Brooks signed a four-year deal with the Rockets that could have been worth up to $90 million, many were left shocked. It seemed like a massive overpay, but Brooks has been playing at a very high level for them so far.
He is averaging 17.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.6 steals per game while shooting 60.4% from the field and 60.0% from beyond the arc. While you wouldn’t expect him to maintain this kind of efficiency throughout the season, it does seem like a change in scenery has helped him thrive.
Before the season started, Brooks had stated he’d be more efficient playing with Fred VanVleet, and that’s certainly been the case. Signing the two of them to big deals was seen as a big mistake by the Rockets, but they’ve had a positive impact on the team.
With this win, Houston improved to 2-3, and they’ll be hoping to get to .500 when they take on Sacramento again on Monday.
