• Stephen Curry, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nikola Jokic, and Luka Doncic are among the top stars in the NBA

• Fans tried to rank the players one through four

• A clear last place emerged, while the top three were hotly debated

The NBA is in one of its golden eras of talent. We are at the right point in time where a few stars from the 2000s and early 2010s are still dominating the league while a new generation has established itself.

Fans on Instagram were wondering how Stephen Curry, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nikola Jokic, and Luka Doncic rank amongst each other and tried to figure it out together.

Many fans quickly jumped to put Luka last in this group. “Can we all at least agree that Luka is last?”

One fan thinks Curry easily earned the No. 1 spot. “Can we all agree that Curry earned the No.1 spot after a decade of backlash, but still showed no signs of stopping down and got 4 World Championships.”

Funnily, there was also one fan that thought Curry was the worst, “Currently, it’s Joker, Giannis, Luka, then Curry.”

Most fans thought Curry was the best and Luka was the worst. “1. Curry 2. Giannis 3. Jokic 4. Luka.”

Another fan put Luka last, mainly due to his lack of accolades. “Curry, Jokic, Giannis, Luka… Based on what they’ve accomplished so far.”

One fan elected to put Giannis last due to his lack of shooting ability. “Curry, Joker, Luka, Giannis. You gotta understand Giannis can’t shoot like they can”

Doncic is unsurprisingly last in this group, with only fives years in the NBA and no championship to his name. The other three are the last three players to win Finals MVP, so they were bound to be selected ahead of him.

The Best Ranking For The Four

In my opinion, if we’re looking at a mix of what they’ve achieved and their current talent, Nikola Jokic should be No. 1. In the last three seasons, it’s hard to say any single player has been better than him given the two league MVPs and one Finals MVP he’s won. He averaged 30.0 points, 13.5 rebounds, and 9.5 assists per game in the 2023 Playoffs.

Stephen Curry is the better all-time player, but factoring in his injury struggles and the Warriors’ second-round elimination last season, we have to put Jokic slightly ahead of him. He averaged 30.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game in the 2023 Playoffs

Giannis Antetokounmpo may have had a humiliating playoff exit this summer, but his track record and two-way ability would keep him away from the final spot on this list. He averaged 31.1 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game in the 22-23 season, missing two of the five first-round games the Bucks had to play.

Luka Doncic is sensational and could one day surpass all three of these players, but he simply hasn’t achieved enough just yet. With his Mavericks also missing the 2023 Playoffs, we simply can’t rank him above the other three champions. He averaged 32.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 8.0 assists per game in the 2022-23 season.
