Just like they did against the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round, the Miami Heat have stolen Game 1 against the New York Knicks.

In a game that looked favorable for the Knicks, the Heat told otherwise and stole this game, as well as the home-court advantage.

Jimmy Butler was on one again, willing his team to victory, beating the Knicks with a 108-101 final result. After the game was over, many fans reacted to it, expressing their opinions on a very exciting duel.

One fan called out the Knicks.

Knicks are overrated

Another one blasted the notion that Madison Square Garden was untouchable.

I thought “The Garden” was invincible

One fan made it clear that the Heat are no joke, as they’ve been to the Eastern Conference Finals in recent years.

The Heat have played in 2 of the last 3 Eastern conference finals. Keep seeing them as a typical 8th seed and you will end up swept like the Knicks are about to be.

Of course, most fans praised Jimmy Butler, who went off again, even after he went down with a rolled ankle.

This is a great result for the Heat, who will try to take Game 2 two this upcoming week. Things could get more interesting in the next match, as Tom Thibodeau and co. will try to make adjustments to prevent going down 0-2 before going to Miami.

Jimmy Butler Once Again Showed The Way For Heat

Jimmy Butler has been on a tear during the postseason, and this game was another proof of that. The veteran player dropped 25 points but also got 11 rebounds and dished 4 assists.

Even though he wasn’t as spectacular as he went in Games 5 and 6 of the prior series, Butler showed up and showed out.

The Heat took advantage of Julius Randle’s absence and capitalized on that. Not even Butler’s apparent injury helped them, as Miami took a late lead and never let go. This result makes this series even more interesting and we can’t wait to see what these two will bring next game.

Game 2 is scheduled for this Tuesday, once again at Madison Square Garden.
