Damian Lillard has been linked to a number of teams he would potentially move to, and one NBA insider has linked the Portland Trail Blazers superstar to the Miami Heat.

Per Sirius XM, Frank Isola hinted that Heat President Pat Riley would “figure out a way” to get Lillard into Miami’s ranks.

The development comes in the wake of the Blazers shutting Lillard down for the remainder of the season. Out of the playoffs race this time, the team’s run has been nothing short of miserable, despite the 32-year-old’s scintillating performances. The ongoing season saw him average 32.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 7.3 assists.

Earlier, The Athletic’s Shams Charania expected both parties to have a serious conversation about his future with the team, and it’s worth noting that some of the franchises in the league are keeping an eye out to acquire Lillard’s services next season.

Here are our thoughts on his next landing spots.

Kevin Garnett Believes Damian Lillard Should Be A Part Of The New York Knicks

Quite recently, Boston Celtics legend Kevin Garnett suggested that Damian Lillard should get traded to the New York Knicks.

“Listen, if Dame Lillard gets to New York, and he does what he does in Portland in New York, he’ll be considered one of the best to ever to it. Like already,” Garnett added.

“If he had 71 in the Garden like he did in the Rose Garden…it’d be bigger than life, that’s what I’m saying. Dame Lillard to New York, Knicks fans don’t even know what they’re [getting]. We’d have to go see that. We’d have to go pull up.”

For now, there is no concrete decision on Lillard’s future with the Blazers. But it won’t be a surprise if he is not one of the blockbuster trades this summer. With Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, a Lillard addition will make them legitimate title contenders.
