Tempers flared during the game between the New Orleans Pelicans and the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night.

Draymond Green was at the center of most of it and when he was talking trash to Herb Jones in the second quarter, the Pelicans forward hilariously told him he is being subbed out of the game.

Look at Draymond trying to get under Herb's skin. Herb looks at the scoring table and sees Kuminga coming in and tells Draymomd, hey ur coach is taking you out of the game nigga 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. pic.twitter.com/Y9376DI0ty

Green was furious that head coach Steve Kerr was subbing him out and he certainly would have felt a bit embarrassed. Kerr did the right thing though, as Draymond would probably have gotten ejected if he had stayed in the game.

Green had already received a technical foul prior to this after an altercation with Brandon Ingram and he had tried to kick Jones before this incident as well. He was too heated at that point and would have eventually lost it if Kerr hadn’t taken him out. Kerr sat him on the bench for a couple of minutes before Green finally re-entered the game. He would finish the night with 8 points, 13 assists, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals as the Warriors roared back from a 20-point deficit to win the game.

Draymond Green Spoke On Trash-Talking The Pelicans Even When The Warriors Were Down Big

The Warriors fed off of Green’s energy and intensity to storm back and win the game. In the postgame interview, Draymond said the Pelicans punked them in the first half and that he was able to get the rest of the team going by talking trash despite the deficit.

Stephen Curry certainly got going in that second half and he finished the game with 39 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists, and 3 steals. This was a great bounce-back win for the Warriors after their disappointing loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday. They are now the sixth seed with a 40-37 record and will be hoping to create a bit of separation between themselves and the play-in spots in the upcoming games.
