Draymond Green and Brandon Ingram have reputations for being two players more on the hot-headed side over their careers. From throwing punches to groin kicks, both of them have a tendency to let their frustrations get the better of them.

That’s what happened during the third quarter of Warriors vs. Pelicans, as Dray and Ingram got caught up in an argument that led to technical fouls being handed out.

Green also got into a confrontation with Herbert Jones on a play, which led to Ingram continuing to yell at Draymond on the court.

This matchup has massive implications for both teams. The Warriors will fall into the 8th seed of the West, while the Pelicans jump them and have their record tied with the 6th-seeded Minnesota Timberwolves. Both teams need this win to keep their playoff hopes healthy, so the energy has been extremely tense from both squads.

Who Secures The 6th Seed In The West?

The battle for the 6th seed in the West has been needlessly brutal for the last few months. We have seen teams like the Dallas Mavericks go from the 5th seed to the 11th seed in a matter of weeks. Even the Pelicans looked down and out, falling to the 12th seed recently and then climbing their way back up with one solid week.

Realistic contenders for the final automatic playoff qualification spot right now as the Wolves, Lakers, Pelicans, and Warriors. Dallas and OKC may have to settle for the play-in battle as the other 4 teams look to secure the 6th seed and get matched up against the Sacramento Kings in the first round.

This battle is likely going to go down the wire this season and it will be interesting to see which team actually manages to hold the others off and avoid having to go through the play-in tournament.
