Andrew Wiggins has shown that he is a quality two-way player during his tenure with the Golden State Warriors, and he was an instrumental part of them winning the championship in 2022.

Unfortunately this season, Andrew Wiggins has been out for a large portion of the season. He is dealing with a family matter, and it is clearly a serious issue. Recently, Steve Kerr revealed that the forward is still out indefinitely, but noted that he has been working out every day.

Though it has definitely hurt the Warriors to have Andrew Wiggins out, it is clear that life matters should take priority over basketball. Andrew Wiggins has a reputation as a player that loves to play every game, and it is obvious that the Warriors wouldn’t allow him to remain absent bar something extremely important. It does seem as though there is some hope that Wiggins comes back this season, as he has been keeping himself as fit as possible.

This season, Andrew Wiggins has averaged 17.1 PPG, 5.0 RPG, and 2.3 APG for the Golden State Warriors while shooting 47.3% from the field and 39.6% from beyond the arc. The Warriors have not been the same team without his presence, and hopefully, he returns for the team sooner rather than later.

Draymond Green Spoke Out About Some Andrew Wiggins Rumors

There have been some theories that claimed Andrew Wiggins is out due to an issue with his girlfriend, but she has already denied those rumors. Recently, we saw Draymond Green address the speculation, basically telling everyone to stop spreading gossip.

“No matter if what y’all saying is true or not, it has no bearing on my life. Nor does it have any bearing on y’all’s life,” said Green. “Y’all are so thirsty to know what’s going on in someone’s life that that becomes the thing? Sometimes people disgust me. You don’t know what someone’s dealing with, and then you make them deal with that? What if that’s not what the person’s dealing with? Stop it, it’s disgusting.”

There is no doubt that fake rumors and fraudulent information can make a sensitive matter like this even more difficult for Andrew Wiggins and his family. Hopefully, we see people cease to spread misinformation about Wiggins’ personal life going forward.

At the end of the day, a player has the right to sit out and deal with their personal issues. Andrew Wiggins deserves space and privacy at this moment, and if he wants to explain what he was dealing with, he can do so in the future.
