Point guard Stephen Curry is one of the greatest players in NBA history, and many consider him to be a top-10 player of all time. There’s no doubt that he has accomplished a lot throughout his career, including changing the entire game of basketball.

LeBron James and Stephen Curry frequently battled in the NBA Finals, and recently James sent some praise to Stephen Curry. In a recent Instagram story, James stated that he always knew that Curry would be special.

Though Stephen Curry was a top-10 pick in his draft class, not many expected him to become a unanimous MVP and the engine of the Golden State Warriors dynasty. He has defied all adds to reach those heights, and it is clear that his becoming a superstar-level player is one of the greatest NBA success stories. It is good to see LeBron James shout out Stephen Curry, and the duo has always had respect for one another.

As of right now, Stephen Curry is averaging 29.4 PPG, 6.2 RPG, and 6.3 APG for the Golden State Warriors. The team has struggled despite his individual play and is currently battling for the sixth seed in the Western Conference.

The Debate Between LeBron James And Stephen Curry Is An Interesting One

Due to their rivalry during the mid-2010s, many often compare Stephen Curry and LeBron James when it comes to the all-time debate. Bill Simmons previously gave his opinion, claiming that LeBron James is a better player but noting that Stephen Curry changed the game.

“If you’re just talking about the big picture stuff with them. The fact that Curry really did change the way that basketball was played is gonna matter if he can start adding some Finals and maybe a couple more rings. I think LeBron is a better player than Curry. But if you’re just talking about career and when we start adding things up. Curry’s impact on basketball and being at the forefront, just changing how it’s played… and how young people play it. It’s the one thing LeBron doesn’t have.”

This is definitely an interesting take on the debate. Though most people do have LeBron James above Stephen Curry, there is no doubt that Curry absolutely shifted the way the game is played. The best way to settle this debate is likely by winning championships. Either player winning another championship could end up changing the way they are viewed in the eyes of fans, and we’ll see what ends up happening in the future.
