The Golden State Warriors have been one of the best teams in the NBA for the last decade or so. During the time span, the Dubs ended up making six trips to the NBA Finals, while winning four of them.

The Dubs’ most recent NBA Championship campaign came in the 2021-22 NBA season. It was a great effort that helped Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green earn the fourth ring of their respective careers.

Considering the Golden State Warriors are the defending champions of the NBA, many expected them to repeat the same level of success in the 2022-23 NBA season as well. Unfortunately, that has been the case so far this season.

Warriors Fans Go Off On Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, And Draymond Green

The original trio of Curry, Thompson, and Green is still a part of the roster. In fact, all three played against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Warriors’ most recent matchup.

The Warriors had a comfortable lead during the fourth quarter but ended up blowing it and losing the game, with Stephen Curry going scoreless in OT. Keeping that in mind, NBA fans on Reddit were understandably frustrated with this performance. So much so that one Redditor even claimed that the Big 3 of the Warriors simply doesn’t look hungry this season. Here’s how other fans reacted to the original post.

AGuyfromPH: Thank goodness they won it last year, but I still can’t believe they are wasting this year to repeat smh. Other teams are somehow beatable.

FishROurFriendsNotFd: I don’t think it’s a “hunger” issue. When players play poorly or don’t look like they used to (especially great players), fans want to say “they’re not hungry enough” or “they don’t want to win enough”. Did you see how the shots for Steph were short for the entire 4th and OT? And how he kept throwing lazy passes or taking quick shots? Dude looked gassed (same with poor Loon. He’s been run into the ground). The starters have been playing more minutes AND they’re all older. It’s no surprise they keep blowing 4th quarters if they’re more tired now (compared to before).

dburge22: I didn’t think losing Mike Brown would be so costly.

cmc2015: A team with a core of dynastic champions playing 16 minutes of the most unclutch basketball I’ve seen in a long while. Elite levels of unseriousness.

s1mple-s1m0n: Waiting for Steph’s postgame where he says he can’t play hero-ball for the 6th time this year.

Hungry-Act8691: But wait they’ll turn on a switch.

giraffesbluntz: We’re actively stunting the development of 3 1st round picks to watch the vets play unserious, .500 basketball.

Bezzy5266: Zero energy off this team. And I don’t understand the 8 man rotation and not even bothering to give any of the young guys play minus Kuminga.

A1cp666: The magic from last year is gone. Just watch last years highlights the rest of the season to make up for this season.

SnooApples6216: Steph may be aging slowly, the most noticeable impact being getting tired in the fourth and overtime. That with less depth is not a great combo.

There were many different reactions to the Big 3 of the Warriors struggling to lead the team to easy wins like most fans have used to see. Considering they are getting older and getting somewhat easily tired in the fourth quarter is a good reason. Other than that, the head coach Steve Kerr being adamant about not giving plenty of minutes to the young guys is not helping the team either.
