The Brooklyn Nets officially finished their Big 3 era that started with so much promise late on Wednesday night. News broke that the team had traded Kevin Durant to the Phoenix Suns for a massive haul including Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, and 4 first-round picks, as well as other fillers.

This came just days after they had traded Kyrie Irving to the Dallas Mavericks, and one year after they dealt James Harden to the Philadelphia 76ers. The trio of superstars, respected to canter to a championship, barely played a few games together and failed to achieve more than a series win in the first round.

The Details Of Trading Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, And James Harden

Not only did they not make it past the Conference Semifinals, but the Brooklyn Nets have also now lost all these superstars. It’s not entirely the franchise’s fault, Harden and Irving seemingly had issues that couldn’t be resolved. Kevin Durant had requested a trade in the offseason, and Kyrie Irving’s relationship with the organization was broken.

But, in any case, disgruntled or not, all 3 of those stars are not cheap for any team trading for them. And it’s not easy to get valuable returns on your trade packages in the NBA, just ask the Dallas Mavericks. But the packages they got for all of them are massive and quite interesting. Here’s a look at the trade details for every one of those.

James Harden’s Trade Details

Philadelphia 76ers Received: James Harden, Paul Millsap

Brooklyn Nets Received: Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, Andre Drummond, 2022 First-Round Pick, 2027 First-Round Pick

Kyrie Irving’s Trade Details

Dallas Mavericks Received: Kyrie Irving, Markieff Morris

Brooklyn Nets Received: Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith, 2029 First-Round Pick, 2027 Second-Round Pick, 2029 Second-Round Draft Pick

Kevin Durant’s Trade Details

Phoenix Suns Received: Kevin Durant, TJ Warren

Brooklyn Nets Received: Mikal Bridges, Jae Crowder, Cam Johnson, 2023 First-Round Pick, 2025 First-Round Pick, 2027 First-Round Pick, 2029 First-Round Pick, 2028 Pick-Swap

How Do Things Look For The Brooklyn Nets’ Future?

This is a massive haul of players and picks that the Nets managed to get for themselves. If Ben Simmons had any superstar potential left, it would even be a massively good return for the caliber of players they lost. But considering that they had three of the greatest players of this generation, even this haul doesn’t feel like it’s good enough.

If they can keep a lot of these players like Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith, Mikal Bridges, and Cam Johnson, though, they could turn their slew of picks into other stars and challenge for the championship at some point again. It’s safe to say, though, that for now, the organization fumbled the bag.
