The Brooklyn Nets and the Portland Trail Blazers skirmish had their share of drama, with Jusuf Nurkic signaling to Kevin Durant that he was too small, leading fans rushing to the latter’s defense.

There was ample support coming in for Durant, with Yuta Watanabe (20 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists) and Ben Simmons (15 points, 13 rebounds, and 7 assists) playing their part in the win.

The Nurkic-Durant drama aside, the veteran was more tuned into resurrecting the Nets season and was keen to play alongside Kyrie Irving again.
The point guard is reportedly set to return when Brooklyn takes on the Memphis Grizzlies, and for Durant, it was about having a player of Irving’s caliber give the side the much-required boost.
