Skip Bayless Unsurprisingly Leaves LeBron James Out Of His Top 5 Best NBA Players List

Skip Bayless keeps making headlines thanks to his bad comments about LeBron James and other NBA stars. The controversial analyst has earned his reputation as probably the biggest LeBron hater in the world, and that won’t change anytime soon. Whenever he has the chance, Bayless trashes LeBron, even when he hasn’t done anything that deserves criticism.

Well, that doesn’t matter for Bayless, who is constantly going after LeBron regardless of what he does. During the most recent edition of FS1’s Undisputed, the 70-year-old defended Kevin Durant, his favorite player in the NBA, while attacking LeBron. Amid trade rumors involving Durant, who couldn’t win in Brooklyn in three seasons (two on the court), Skip still considers that KD is the best player in the world.

One would think that he said LeBron was 2nd of 3rd, but Skip went further and directly removed him from his top 5. Bayless selected KD as the best player in the league right now, followed by 2021 NBA champion and 2x NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo. Joel Embiid came in 3rd, Nikola Jokic is 4th and reigning Finals MVP Stephen Curry closes out the top 5.

As you can see, there’s no trace of LeBron James. While Shannon Sharpe tried to make his point, Skip kept praising Durant, bringing up stats that only helped the Nets superstar.

The Los Angeles Lakers didn’t have the best 2021/22 season; they missed the play-in tournament, couldn’t mesh well, injuries bothered them, and many more things, but LeBron was the only good thing they had to show last campaign. Neither the Lakers nor the Nets could win a single playoff game, so if we think about it, their seasons were pretty much the same.

Still, with the rise of Embiid and Jokic as two of the best players in the league, Stephen Curry demonstrating that he still got it, and Giannis Antetokounmpo being a menace, you could say that these four players had a better case than Durant for this title, but Skip things differently.
