Jayson Tatum And Jaylen Brown Have Hilarious Response To Sky-High Ticket Prices For Finals: “Don’t Call Me, Watch It For Free On TV.”

The era when only sports fans were interested in the NBA Finals is so long gone that we haven’t seen it since the early days of the sport’s inception. Everyone knows that the real allure of attending an NBA game is being around the glamor of the league and getting an experience when you attend a game.

Considering the effort arenas go to just for regular-season attendance, a Finals run means they will bring out all the stops. With arenas becoming better and better every year, it seems the price of tickets to the biggest events goes up just as often.

Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum may be multi-millionaires, but even they know what overpriced tickets look like. The cheapest ticket price for Game 1 in the Warriors’ Chase Center is $800 while the most expensive is $16,852. The current average price per ticket is $2,353, according to Sporting News, something that Tatum and Brown couldn’t fathom paying to get extra tickets for people they know.

If the prices for Game 1 seem exorbitant, that amount increases further to $2,685 for Game 2. The same Sporting News report suggests that the average ticket prices in Games 3 and 4 in Boston will be a little cheaper than Game 2, but still at an extremely high cost of $2,361 and $2,532 respectively.

The ticket prices for the Western Conference Finals matchup between the Warriors and the Dallas Mavericks were extremely high as well, with many fans questioning why the teams are trying to price out the working-class fans that root for the teams day-in and day-out.

Hopefully, we still see passionate and energetic crowds in the Finals despite the prices, as these games will still definitely be complete sell-outs. The Finals is a special occasion for a fanbase (unless you’re spoiled like the Warriors fans are) and should be appreciated by the entire community, not just the richest.
