Gilbert Arenas Says He Stole A Savage Trash Talking Line From Larry Bird: “We’re Going To Treat Them Like Some Little H*es. We’re Gonna Get A Little P***y And We’re Going To Get Out Of Here.”

There are many stories about Larry Bird and his trash-talking talents. The Boston Celtics legend used to dominate players on the court, but he also played mind games even before the matches started. Larry was an expert at humiliating rivals, which earned him the right to be named the biggest trash talker in NBA history.

There have been more players that liked to talk a lot to opponents, like Michael Jordan or Gary Payton, but Bird was on another level. He even announced his shots before taking them, predicted he would win a competition and ended up winning, and even selected his stat line before a match.

Gilbert Arenas heard about these stories and even decided to steal one of Larry’s lines for him. During an interview on VladTV, the former Washington Wizards star revealed one of the worst trash talking lines from Bird, which he stole for himself (1:03):

“I stole a saying from him that I heard he used to say. They said, at the beginning of the game when they’re shaking hands and stuff, Larry used to say, ‘alright fellas, we’re going to treat them like some little h*es. We’re going to get a little p***y and we’re going to get out of here’ and they say that’s what Larry Bird used to say to his opponents.”

That’s really savage, but it’s Larry Bird we’re talking about here. No. 33 didn’t mince words when he tried to demolish players’ confidence. He became an incredible legend during his NBA career and all the stories about him remain relevant to this day.

Arenas was also a big trash talker, but he wasn’t at the same level as Bird, Jordan, or Payton. Still, Larry Legend remains the best at this, and right now, nobody seems to be close to him.
