The now Brooklyn Nets star lost several millions in fines due to his inability to play and the fact that the Sixers couldn’t get much information about his mental health and his process to manage his issues.
This situation led the front office to fine the player several times, with Simmons losing about $20 million in the process. After he was traded to the Nets last month, the Australian point guard decided to file a grievance to recoup all the money his former team took from him during the months he was unable to play with them.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Ramona Shelburne, and Bobby Marks of ESPN, Simmons filed the grievance this week, as he attempts to get back his money. The grievance was shared with the Sixers, the league, and the NBPA, which is supporting the point guard in this process.

With the most recent developments of his case, things will get worse for him, but it’s not like Ben is too worried about that at this point.
