Superstar LeBron James’ son Bronny James is one of the most prominent high school prospects in the nation. Many expect him to be a solid basketball player at the NBA level, and his high school games are already drawing a lot of attention.
Bronny James was recently involved in the Nike Hoop Summit, with him being part of the latest game between Team USA and Team World. Even though the younger James didn’t have a good offensive night, his impact still stood out due to his defense and the little things he did on the court. After the game, Bronny James revealed LeBron James’ advice to him during the game. Kevin Pelton of ESPN relayed the news.
“Basically just saying keep playing my game because he knows what I’m capable of doing,” Bronny told the media postgame. “He just wants to see it out of me.”
It is clear that LeBron James is a great father, and he has raised his son to be a great man and basketball player. His basketball knowledge is of great use to his son as well, and hopefully, we see the duo play in the league together one day.
Bronny James Has A Solid Overall Game
Even though many people assume that Bronny James is only hyped because of LeBron James, that could not be further from the truth. In fact, Thaddeus Young previously pointed out that the younger James is a “solid” player, who has a versatile game.
“He’s solid as hell,” said Thaddeus Young. “Obviously, probably not the elite of the elite. But he’s athletic, he’s strong, he plays defense, he can shoot the ball well, he can run the point guard position, he can play off the ball. I love his game,”
It is clear that Bronny James has the ability to succeed at the NBA level. He can fit in next to a variety of different NBA players, and it’ll be interesting to see where he ends up getting drafted.
As of right now, Bronny James has not yet chosen a pathway to the NBA out of high school. A lot of people want him to go the college route, but other routes, such as the G-League Ignite, might be beneficial as well. He is already one of the highest NIL earners in the country, and going to college could definitely be good for him financially. With that being said, there’s no “wrong” choice for a player of that talent, and we’ll see what happens in the future.
