In conversation with Ernie Johnson on The Steam Room, Barkley addressed the issues he has with soaps that hotels provide, and the tirade is quite a wild one.
“You know I travel with my own soap. You knew that, didn’t you?” Barkley said to Johnson, with Ernie saying he didn’t. “I travel with a big bar of soap. I love soap.” Ernie Johnson then asked him if there was a reason he travels with his soap, to which Barkley said, “Because these hotels started being cheap. Those bars ain’t big enough. Cuz I almost had a couple of accidents with those soaps in the hotel.”
Ernie Johnson was trying to control his laughter, but he asked Barkley what kind of accidents he was talking about. To this Charles hilarious replied, “Well, I was washing a certain part of my body, and I almost had a little incident. I almost had an incident with one of them little bars of soap… Almost lost it. And then I was like, ‘Woooo, that was too close for comfort.’ So now I travel with my own big bars of soap.”

The clip was played on Inside The NBA, and Shaquille O’Neal could not stop himself from laughing heartily. The implication here is obviously that the soap almost went inside Barkley’s backside, which is an uproarious thought. It’s also why his fellow crew members on Inside The NBA couldn’t address what he was saying directly either.
