The Los Angeles Lakers got a much-needed win when they took on the Orlando Magic on Sunday night.

Austin Reaves led the way with the best game of his career, finishing with 35 points, and Dennis Schroder took to Instagram to celebrate the win and his teammate’s big night.

A Lakers fan criticized Schroder for celebrating a win over a team like the Magic, though, and the German fired back at him.

The celebration police really need to get over it by now. The players have every right to celebrate in whatever way they want after a win. If Schroder was all smiles after a loss, then you can still understand fans not liking it, but to criticize someone for celebrating a win is just wrong.

The lowly Magic have also beaten the Boston Celtics thrice this season and beat the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday, so this was far from some walk in the park. It is hard to win a game in the NBA, as he said, and no one should criticize a player for celebrating a win. Schroder had a solid game against the Magic, too, finishing with 12 points and 5 assists off the bench.

The Lakers’ Big Win Over The Magic

Considering the Lakers were coming off brutal defeats to the Houston Rockets and especially the Dallas Mavericks, it was very important that they got this win. Another defeat would have been devastating, and they showed some character by bouncing back and getting this win.

It improves their record to 35-37, and they are now back in the final play-in spot at 10th in the Western Conference. With LeBron James set to return before the end of the regular season, the Lakers need to make sure they are in the hunt for the playoff spots, and wins like the one on Sunday, will go a long way to ensuring that.
