Shaquille O’Neal had been involved in some fairly high-profile relationships over the years but in recent times, the Hall of Famer has kept his dating life relatively private. O’Neal hasn’t given any indicators in the last few years about him being involved with anyone, but NBA fans think they have now found out who his girlfriend is. An Instagram user named Maria Ozuna Teachey recently posted a picture of her with a tall Black man, whose face cannot be seen, and social media is convinced that’s O’Neal.
This post has since been deleted and you can speculate why Maria did that. While social media is convinced that the man is O’Neal, there is no way to be certain about it with just this picture. Considering this post was taken down, I think it’s safe to say we won’t be seeing this man in any future ones either.
As for Maria, most of what we know about her comes from her Instagram account, which has over 200,000 followers. She claims to be a video creator and is based in Philadelphia.
Maria goes by the nickname “Filly” and has released some singles as well. Her posts on Instagram tend to feature them from time to time too.
Maria appears to have brushed shoulders with some big names like boxer Adrien Broner, so it’s possible she and O’Neal could have crossed paths at some point. Unless either party speaks on the matter, though, all of this is pure speculation.
Shaquille O’Neal Hilariously Asked Bobbi Althoff Out On A Date
I mentioned earlier that O’Neal has kept his dating life private, but he did hilariously ask podcaster Bobbi Althoff out on a date earlier this year. As for why he did it, well, it all started when YouTuber Funny Marco was a guest on The Big Podcast with Shaq.
There was talk of Marco dating Althoff, who had split from her husband Cory, and O’Neal asked him how long they’d been dating. He deflected the question, however, and later stated that the 52-year-old should try to find someone for himself.
That led to O’Neal hilariously asking Marco to set him up with Althoff, but the YouTuber felt they would not be a good match. The Hall of Famer then decided to call her himself and suggested they watch a movie together and she agreed.
When Marco claimed that going to the movies wasn’t a date, O’Neal hilariously asked him if he was jealous. He then ruthlessly stated that he had stolen his girl.
While O’Neal and Althoff might have gone to watch a movie at some point afterward, I think it’s safe to say they aren’t dating. He was just pulling Marco’s leg there and did seem to get into his head a little bit.
As for O’Neal’s actual dating life, the last woman he was heavily linked with was actress Annie Ilonzeh. Neither party ever spoke on the rumors, though, so it’s still a bit unclear if they actually dated or not.
