Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Denver Nuggets wasn’t without drama, and one of it was a fan spilling a drink on LeBron James.

After jostling for the ball with Nikola Jokic, a move that saw him run and tumble onto the courtside, James ended up on the floor with a drink spilled over him. What happened next was an act of kindness and some words from James that fans would never forget.

The Lakers superstar replied with a heartfelt thank you after the fan who spilled the drink handed him a towel.

This makes for a wholesome moment between a fan and a superstar, and will surely go down as one of the highlight moments during Game 2.

On the game front, the Lakers came inches close to sealing a win but were outclassed 108-103 by the Nuggets to take a dominant 0-2 lead. Jamal Murray exploded for 37 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists, while Jokic headed his second triple-double in a row with 23 points, 17 rebounds, and 12 assists.

For the Lakers, it was a dismal day, with James and Anthony Davis putting up 22 and 18 points, respectively. Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura were crucial, chipping in with 22 and 21 points, but it wasn’t enough to get LA across the finish line.

LeBron James Is Not Worried Despite The Lakers Trailing 0-2

It was James who once again assured that the Lakers have it in them to bounce back despite going down for the second time in as many games. “This is not the NCAA tournament,” James said in the aftermath of the loss. “It’s first to 4 wins.”

The other major blow for LA was the forward tweaking his ankle during the game, but he did add that he would play the third contest. “I’ll be ready on Sunday. I just stepped on the foot of AG. Nothing is keeping me from playing.”

This surely comes as good news for the Lakers and their fans, especially with the team starting at a 0-2 deficit. Only time will tell if the Purple and Gold can string up a couple of wins and even the scoreline.
